Ten hardy ROMEOs showed up today on eight motorcycles and one sidecar rig for lunch at the Renaissance cafe in Assaria, KS. The long rider came all of 45 miles from Hesston and I was probably the short rider on the REB with 8 frigid miles into the wind. After the usual fine meal of a hamburger, fries and baked beans the short ride back to Salina wasn't so bad going with the 18mph wind. The REB felt like it was loafing along at an indicated 60mph.
As always the visiting was just as good as the riding, maybe even better today. Now if I can get Richard away from geocaching long enough to send me a couple of photos I'll get them posted. I didn't think to bring my camera and Pat was so excited to be riding his new Vulcan that he forgot his too.
