Hauling the REB

  My, my, it has been a long time since I've posted anything.  Bought a trailer hitch for the Sienna and a utility trailer that I can use to haul motorcycles.  It is a Buck Dandy trailer, cool name.  It has no tie down points so I tried placing the hooks under the angle iron supports.  That would have been OK except that they would bounce loose unless the bike was pulled down really, really tight.  I was afraid that the forks and shocks would suffer from such treatment so on the way home I looped the strap around the railing.  Worked great except for rubbing the straps to the point of replacement.  Guess I better talk to my welder and get some loops someplace.

 

 

  Oh, yes, we went to Georgia first and then to Virginia.  Kids, dogs and grandkids was the mission of the trip.  With almost three weeks away I decided I needed a bike to ride.  Besides the REB still needs break-in miles on the new piston and rings (never bloged).  I got to explore lots of back roads around Athens.  There was less opportunity to ride in Virgina but I did manage to get in some quality time on some fantastic country roads.  No pictures as I didn't want to interfere with my riding enjoyment.  Thinking back, stopping now and then to snap a photo would be a good break-in technique.

  Anyway, back home now and trying to motivate myself to ride in the heat.
