I visited Early's Yamaha A local (Harrisonburg, VA) motorcycle shop a few days ago. Didn't really need anything but ended up buying some gloves and visiting with the parts guy long enough to find out about their open house this weekend. Never one to pass up a free lunch Sue and I took a drive over there today. I was pleasantly surprised at the menu. Oh,they had the requisite open house hot dogs plus some fine Southern BBQ, baked beans and cole slaw.
Thirty or so bikes were in the small parking lot with a good representation of brands. No REBs though and only a couple of riders were in costume. Visited the owner for a minute, checked out the bikes and other goodies including a 1961 BSA drag bike and a fine BSA st ocker of about the same vintage. The drag bike was one that the owner had ridden back in '61, way cool.
Nice day, just wish I had a bike here.
Retired Old Motorcyclist Eating Out. Plus some Royal Enfield and W650 stuff and random BS from a old motorcycle fart. Cross posted from http://wil6831.multiply.com/ which is closing down at the end of the year. All my old stuff was transferred here and in the process pictures were lost, post are out of sequence, etc. I'll re-post pics when I have time.

In Virginia
It's 5/8/09, I'm in Harrisonburg, VA. Our daughter had a little girl on 4/30/09 and we rushed right out. Well two days is rushing at my age. Our first grand daughter and 2nd grand child. I'm trying to make myself useful, mostly being the duty GOFER.
Just as well I don't have a bike here, the roads are amazing and I'd be in trouble for not spending enough time around the house
